Lighthouse Electrical provides industry-leading industrial electrical services to clients throughout California's Central Valley. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to plan and oversee projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical construction or journeyman certification required
  • Knowledge of the practical application of industrial electrical construction is required.
  • A Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is strongly preferred.
  • Clean DMV record required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Responsible for assessing project proposals, conducting progress meetings with clients, and Preparing project progress reports for typical and medium-sized projects.
  • Prepare project proposals - budget spreadsheets, scope qualifications, schedule, project-specific documents for presentation, etc., including research of materials and methods, sourcing and negotiating qualified contractors' bids, reviewing contracts, and quality control during all project stages for medium-sized projects.
  • Responsible for determining and allocating needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from project start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations; Creates and manages employee work schedules for medium-sized projects.
  • Supervises the work of laborers, engineers, contractors, vendors, etc., and guides them when needed; Evaluate progress and prepares detailed reports; is responsible for identifying, communicating, and resolving technical, tactical, and operational project issues and risk.
  • Responsible for bidding all jobs accurately with no mistakes; Completing all work-related paperwork without errors. Ensuring all jobs are completed with top quality.
  • Build and develop a team of direct reports to ensure maximum performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation; Provide regular feedback to direct reports; develop and follow through with individualized plans for development and growth for each direct report; gives input to the performance review process.
  • Provide technical leadership and advice to other Project Managers. Responsible for guiding, teaching, and coaching direct reports on effective techniques and skills to perform their job duties successfully.
  • Responsible for handling last-minute emergent projects by requesting materials needed, assessing projects and creating effective schedules for completion, and allocation of manpower.

  • Must be able to move in and around the production area and office.
  • Must be able to travel by car, plane, and other transportation to visit customers’ sites to analyze needs. Some sites can have rough terrain, loud noise, and extreme heat.
  • Must have good vision and be able to read the small print, see colors, able to read and understand contracts; ability to write proposals and plans, use a computer to communicate via email, conduct research, and prepare reports, documents, and letters.
  • Must be able to observe people and work in progress and watch for moving equipment.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate via telephone and in person.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally to understand customer needs, provide direction, explain solutions, and present information.
  • Must be able to work outside in the summer’s heat and winter’s cold.
  • Physical requirements include walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, stretching, reaching and climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds when observing, diagnosing, designing, and evaluating solutions.
