Driver/Patient Transportation Coordinator - PACE at Providence Health and Services summary:

This role involves coordinating and driving geriatric and physically limited patients to their destinations using specially equipped vehicles as needed. The position requires defensive driving training, a valid driver's license, and extensive driving experience, particularly with special needs passengers. The job supports a healthcare program aimed at improving the health and independence of elderly participants through safe and reliable transportation services.

Description

$3,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

The Transportation Coordinator picks up and delivers geriatric, frail and/or physically limited PACE participants to and from their destinations in regular or specially equipped vehicles, depending upon the individual geriatric participants needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Successful completion of defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within 3 months of hire.
  • Driving is a necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
  • 5 years of Driving experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • 2 years of Driving experience, which includes:
  • Driving a large passenger van or small bus.
  • 2 years of experience transporting people with special needs.
  • 1 year of experience in transporting individuals with special mobility needs.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
