Position Details: - Part-time position with weekday availability required ( Monday–Friday, between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM )
- Evening shifts occasionally available after 5:30 PM
- Flexible schedule – client demand determines weekly routes and hours (no two weeks are exactly the same)
- Pet transportation may be required for vet appointments, grooming, or daycare drop-offs
- Work involves independent field time — walking dogs, caring for pets, and ensuring safety and comfort during each visit
- Ideal candidates are responsible, self-managed, and capable of making sound decisions while following company safety protocols
- Above all, you’ll be entrusted with the well-being, trust, and happiness of our clients’ beloved pets and homes
Experience Preferred:
- Prior professional pet care, dog walking, or animal handling experience (kennel, daycare, rescue, etc.)
- Comfort with various breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Ability to confidently use and navigate mobile apps and technology for scheduling, communication, and visit reports
- Preferred or willing to obtain certification in pet first aid and CPR through Waggin’ & Waddlin’ LLC.
- This is a job that requires safe and efficient driving. Dog walkers and pet sitters are always on the move.
- We work outdoors and on our feet. Be prepared to work in all four seasons.
- Animals require patience and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Walk dogs to ensure they receive proper exercise and care.
- Provide in-home pet-sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, cleaning litter boxes, and maintaining home routines.
- Transport pets safely to and from clients' homes, if necessary.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets by closely supervising and following owner instructions.
- Clean up after pets as needed.
- Professional written and verbal communication with clients, staff, and management.
- Conduct occasional meet & greets with existing clients and their pets to establish comfort and trust.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Earn $15–$19 per hour , depending on experience, performance, and availability
- 15–30 hours per week , with flexible scheduling based on client demand
- Monthly earning potential of $1,000–$2,200+
- Performance reviews every six months and opportunities for pay increases every 6-12 months
