Ascension Search Partners has been retained by a leading privately held real estate development firm who are hiring a Vice President to oversee financial leadership for a multi-faceted division. This newly established role provides a unique opportunity to shape and drive financial operations in partnership with the President and COO.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, this individual will develop and execute financial strategies that support both day-to-day performance and long-term growth objectives. The position involves direct oversight of financial reporting, planning, compliance, and shared services, as well as leadership of an established accounting team (~100 total reports).

Role Highlights:

• Lead financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for a diversified portfolio.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership, supporting key operational and growth initiatives.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee internal controls and asset protection measures.
• Manage a multi-functional accounting and finance team serving multiple business lines, including shared services such as AP, AR, payroll, and procurement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and lending partners.
• Drive performance improvement initiatives and provide data-driven insights to operational leaders.
• Oversee capital planning, cash flow forecasting, and risk management strategies.

Ideal Background:

• 10+ years' progressive finance and accounting leadership experience in complex, multi-entity financial environments.
• Prior experience in real estate development, hospitality, or retail operations strongly preferred.
• CPA license plus a foundation in "Big 4" public accounting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with a hands-on approach to financial management.
