Job Overview: The CNC Machine Operator is an experienced machine operator who is disciplined, creative and an excellent problem solver who will thrive in our lean manufacturing environment. A successful candidate is a reliable individual who is able to read blueprints and hold tight tolerances with a strong mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities: - Follow Standard Work Machine set up, running parts and preventative maintenance (PM).
- Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations and/or operate other equipment, including the selection and presetting of tools which will be required for the next scheduled job.
- Update and maintain all visual controls and Create and/or support countermeasures and operate in and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Participate and engage in SMED, Kaizen events, and '5 Whys' problem-solving exercises.
- Resolve and/or report equipment abnormalities.
- Follow company safety procedures and standards to insure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co-workers, contractors, customers, and property. Be a stand for safety having the courage to call forth and report unsafe practices.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 40 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Works within a manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals
Requirements: - At least 3+ (three) or more years of CNC maintenance mechanic experience
- At least 3+ (three) or more years navigating CNC controls including OSP, Fanuc, Haas controls.
- At least 3+ (three) or more years of experience troubleshooting/repairing and training others on turret alignment, spindle/motor replacements, and other machine components rebuilds.
- At least 3+ (three) or more years repairing and installing various voltages as needed for CNC equipment.
- At least 3+ (three) or more years designing and implementing new hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- At least 3+ (three) or more years of experience identifying, developing and performing required daily/weekly/monthly/semi -annual and annual maintenance on all CNC equipment.
Preferences: - Proficiency in Fanuc robots a plus
- Proficiency in simple fabrication and welding applications
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements: - This position will be fully site based at our facility in Alsip, IL.
Pay Range: Starting Pay is $26.00 per hour plus $1000 Sign On Bonus
