About the Job:
The Registered Dietitian (RD) (Outpatient) provides clinical expertise for the education, management and behavioral counseling for persons. The incumbent will educate patients of all ages and their families/caregivers and will promote and disseminate quality diabetes and nutrition information to professionals as well as patients.
What You’ll Do:
Provides person-centered Medical Nutrition Therapy to individuals and groups of all ages (adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics).
Member of interdisciplinary team supporting endocrinology and primary care practices.
The population served includes people with diabetes, prediabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, digestive health, lipid management, food allergies, weight management, failure to thrive, chronic kidney disease, and oncology.
Who You Are:
BS in Nutrition or Dietetics, with training in all age groups required.
Licensure as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian required.
Member of the American Dietetic Association required.
A minimum of one year of experience in nutritional counseling in an outpatient setting and conducting group classes required.
CDCES, NDPP Health Coach, experience with FOD Map.
