Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee all operational aspects of our firearms manufacturing business. The COO will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving strategic initiatives, and aligning production capabilitiesincluding advanced CNC machiningwith the companys growth objectives. This executive will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to set the vision, optimize efficiency, and maintain the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety. This is a hands-on role of setting SOPs, gaining buy-in, and overall production capabilities in a highly precise, fast-paced CNC environment.
Operational Leadership Direct, manage, and optimize all aspects of manufacturing, assembly, quality control, supply chain, and logistics across the organization.
CNC & Manufacturing Oversight Oversee high-precision CNC machining operations (milling, turning, multi-axis), ensuring maximum efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Strategic Planning Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term operational strategies aligned with market growth and innovation.
Process Improvement Implement lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement initiatives, and automation strategies to reduce waste and improve productivity.
Quality & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to ATF, ITAR, ISO, and industry-specific standards; maintain rigorous quality assurance processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering, product development, and R&D to align manufacturing capabilities with new product designs and market demands.
Financial Stewardship Manage operational budgets, analyze cost structures, and drive profitability through efficient resource allocation.
Talent Leadership Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing management team across production, maintenance, engineering, and quality departments.
Vendor & Supply Chain Management Oversee sourcing, procurement, and inventory management to ensure a reliable supply of materials and components.
Safety Culture Champion workplace safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal safety protocols.
Proven senior leadership experience in precision CNC manufacturing .
Deep understanding of CNC programming, tooling, and modern manufacturing technology.
Strong knowledge of ATF, ITAR, and quality management systems.
Demonstrated track record of scaling operations, driving efficiency, and delivering results.
Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and align teams.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
