About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to lead the establishment and implementation of an effective compliance program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the organization meets all regulatory requirements, with a focus on those governing a major academic medical center. This includes coordinating internal compliance reviews, monitoring activities, and conducting periodic risk assessments. The Chief Compliance Officer will also serve as an advisor to senior leadership on compliance matters, oversee the conflict of interest management process, and ensure that the organization's business operations are in line with federal, state, and local laws. Candidates for the Chief Compliance Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years of healthcare compliance experience. Specialized training in areas such as human subjects research, HIPAA/HITECH, clinical trials, and billing compliance is also preferred. The role requires a professional with a track record of success in compliance oversight, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The Chief Compliance Officer will be expected to provide leadership and guidance on compliance matters, encourage a culture of reporting and address any issues of non-compliance with appropriate corrective actions.
