Literacy Instructor (Bilingual English/Spanish)
Location Dallas, TX | Onsite
Compensation & Schedule
• $25.00/hour
• 20 hours/week part time
• Tuesday & Thursday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

ROLE IMPACT
The Literacy Instructor empowers diverse communities by delivering instruction across multiple literacies, including GED preparation, English language, digital skills, and citizenship. This role enhances learning access in both Spanish and English through tailored resources and hands-on instruction, driving educational outcomes and community engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver instruction to customers in GED (English/Spanish), ESL, digital literacy, and citizenship
• Develop curriculum, lesson plans, training materials, and instructional resources
• Coordinate class schedules, maintain attendance records, and evaluate instructional outcomes
• Provide direct service and support in an instructional setting
• Collaborate with library leadership and external partners to align programming with community needs
• Organize and maintain learning materials at assigned locations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Technology, or related field — OR 6 years directly relevant experience
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office or similar platforms
• Experience designing and delivering adult instruction or public training programs
