About the Role

The Banquet Server is responsible for providing prompt, friendly and efficient service to our guests while delivering food & beverage in support of banquet operations.

• Accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food, refilling beverages, removing dirty dishes from tables and assist in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service.
• Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance.
• Completes all setup and closing duties in a timely fashion
• Adheres to food and beverage policies and procedures and state liquor laws
• Relays all guest compliment/complaints to appropriate supervisor
• Observes diners to respond to additional requests and to determine when meal is completed
• Set up and break down of scheduled events with proper handling and storage of china, glass, flatware, linen and any other related product and/or equipment
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Essential Functions

• Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel area
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible shift hours

Requirements

• Prior experience as an event server or high-volume restaurant server
• Strong guest service skills; including ability to converse with guests
• Positive, personable, and outwardly friendly
• Ability to perform role in a in a busy, high volume work environment
• Endure various physical movements throughout the shift; including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods of time
• The ability to effectively communicate in English
• Must be able to lift/push/pull 50lbs
