Job Description The Banking Associate is a banking professional who delivers TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role is accountable for completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on TD products and services to help Customers achieve their financial goals. Depth & Scope Performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services Provides end-to-end advisory support: building trust with educational content, offering consultative assistance, and delivering proactive insights and recommendations Uses TD systems and tools to engage with Customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and provide guidance to attract and retain customers Identifies customer financial needs and opportunities to promote and educate on products, referring to the appropriate team member when needed Completes everyday banking transactions on teller lines or platforms while educating customers on products and services Serves customers on teller lines and platforms, handling opening/closing deposits, debit/credit card issues, digital banking, and related requirements Engages in lead generation activities and manages customer outreach, including appointments and referrals Education & Experience High school diploma or GED 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, or military experience considered) Customer service skills preferred Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Teller experience preferred and completion of Teller training and platform training upon hire Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office; Notary License preferred Customer Accountabilities Provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products Build and nurture customer relationships through product knowledge and attentive listening Manage wait times and schedule appointments with Bankers when needed Act as a first point of contact for inquiries and assist with customer resolutions or referrals to a Banking expert Understand and support the Bank's customer service strategy and compliance requirements Drive referrals to store colleagues and partners to address broader financial needs Shareholder & Employee Accountabilities Adhere to policies and procedures to minimize risk and protect customers, including BSA/Patriot Act compliance Process cash/deposits/withdrawals and other account servicing requests accurately Open/close accounts and update customer information following policy Maintain compliance with internal/external audits and regulatory requirements Follow customer authentication, dual control when required, and open/close procedures Contribute to a positive work environment and model TD’s culture and commitments Physical Requirements The job may include sedentary work and standing for extended periods, with occasional travel as needed.
