Responsibilities Performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location; including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. Delivers end-to-end advice customers expect: building trust with educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and offering proactive insights and recommendations. Uses TD's systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance to attract and retain customers. Identifies customer financial needs to promote and educate on products and services, referring to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner while ensuring a positive customer experience. Completes everyday banking transactions on the teller line or platform while uncovering customer needs and educating on products, services, and tools or referring to the appropriate expert. Serves customers on both the teller line and platform, including opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday banking transactions, debit/credit card issues, and digital banking services. Connects with customers, provides financial advice, and deepens relationships through lead management activities, including self-generated leads, partner/retail leads, outbound outreach, and appointment setting. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED 1 year experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, military experience acceptable) Demonstrated customer service skills preferred Ability to work during operating hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled Teller experience preferred Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear and consistent Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving Proficient in Microsoft Office Notary License preferred Customer Accountabilities Provides legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating and referring TD products to customers Establishes and nurtures customer relationships with product knowledge and active listening to identify needs and offer solutions or referrals Manages wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling or canceling appointments Acts as first point of contact for customer inquiries and helps orchestrate customer traffic and resolutions Understands and supports the Bank's customer service strategy Drives referrals to Store colleagues and partners to address broader financial needs Ensures tasks are performed in accordance with policy and procedures and complies with training requirements Maintains compliance with internal/external audits and regulatory requirements, including documentation of action plans Complies with TD Code of Conduct Shareholder Accountabilities Ensures compliance with regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act) to minimize risk Processes cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests Performs routine account opening/closing and services accurately and securely Adheres to required controls and documentation for transactions Performs customer authentication and, when required, dual control procedures Follows open/close procedures Employee/Team Accountabilities Contributes to a positive work environment by aligning to TD model, brand and culture Participates in performance and development activities; acts as a brand champion Collaborates with team members to achieve success Seeks opportunities to improve delivery with attention to quality Owns career development; embraces feedback and change Complies with TD's Shared Commitments and maintains quality service in customer interactions Supports diversity and inclusive culture; may train and mentor newer colleagues Physical Requirements Work involves sedentary to light physical activity; various shifts, travel as needed; includes standing, walking, repetitive tasks and handling of standard office equipment.
