Job Description

Banking Associate - 30 hours - Woburn, MA TD Bank is seeking a Banking Associate for a 30-hour/week schedule in Woburn, MA. The role focuses on delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location, accurately completing everyday banking transactions, and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. Responsibilities Performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services. Delivers end-to-end advice by building trust with educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and offering proactive insights and recommendations. Utilizes TD\'s systems and tools to engage with Customers to acquire and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance to attract and retain the customer. Understands customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, or refer to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, while ensuring a positive customer experience. Accurately completes everyday banking transactions on the teller line or on the platform while uncovering customer needs and educating on products, services, and tools or referring to the appropriate expert. Serves customers on both the teller line and platform as needed, including opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit/credit card issues, Regulation E, and digital banking. Connects with customers, provides financial advice, and deepens relationships through lead management activities, including creation and management of self-generated leads and referrals, customer outreach, and appointments. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, military experience acceptable) Demonstrated customer service skills preferred Ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Teller experience preferred Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work Ability to work independently and within deadlines Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving Proficient in Microsoft Office Notary license preferred Customer Accountabilities Consistently provides legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating and referring TD products to new and existing customers Establishes and nurtures customer relationships by displaying product knowledge and actively listening to customer needs Manages wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings Engages in lobby leadership and serves as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and resolutions Supports the Bank\'s customer service strategy and adheres to compliance/risk programs Drives referrals to Store colleagues and partners to support broader financial needs Ensures tasks are performed within established policy and procedures Completes required job-specific, compliance-related training and maintains documentation Adheres to TD\'s Code of Conduct and compliance standards Shareholder Accountabilities Ensures compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act in operational activities Accurately processes cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests Handles everyday account activities such as opening/closing accounts, deposits, or updating information Maintains compliance with regulations, policies, and controls Applies customer authentication principles and due diligence to new openings and transactions Manages cash drawers with accuracy and security Follows open/close procedures and dual control requirements Employee/Team Accountabilities Contributes to a positive work environment aligned with TD\'s model, brand, and culture Participates in performance, development activities, and mentoring programs as appropriate Collaborates with team members to deliver high-quality service Actively seeks opportunities to improve delivery of work with high attention to quality standards Supports an inclusive culture and TD\'s diversity agenda Provides mentorship to newer colleagues when applicable Physical Requirements Domestic Travel – Occasional; International Travel – Never Performance of sedentary work and multiple tasks – Frequent/Continuous as listed Operate standard office equipment; respond to sounds; sit/stand/walk as needed Other listed physical activities may be required The above statements describe the general nature of work and are not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.
