Temporary Retail Accounting Audit Clerk
Location: Onsite
Duration: 9-12 weeks
Start Date: December 29th or January 5th
Schedule: Full-time, onsite
Pay Rate: Approximately $25/hour
CV Resources is partnering with a retail organization to identify a Temporary Retail Accounting Audit Clerk to provide coverage during a medical leave. This is a full-time, onsite role expected to last through mid-February to early March , with the potential for slight extension depending on business needs.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys structured, high-volume bookkeeping and financial review work within a retail environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview and audit sales paperwork submitted by retail store locations
Investigate and reconcile till shortages and discrepancies
Review daily bookkeeping and close-out documentation
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records
Manage and organize paperwork from stores, received twice weekly
Collaborate with internal bookkeeping and accounting teams to resolve issues
Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
Prior experience in retail accounting, audit, or bookkeeping preferred
Comfortable working with high volumes of transactional documentation
Experience with AS400 strongly preferred
Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
