Associate Degree Apprenticeship Program - Underwriting Services - Schaumburg, IL (Summer 2026) Apply for the Associate Degree Apprenticeship Program in Underwriting Services at Zurich Insurance, located in Schaumburg, Illinois. The program launches in summer 2026 (June 16th – July 20th). Program Overview Zurich North America’s Apprentice Program is a two‑year blend of academic coursework at Harper Community College and hands‑on experience at Zurich North America’s headquarters in Schaumburg. Participants earn a first‑time associate degree while gaining real insurance experience. Responsibilities Verify producer appointment and licensing requirements. Communicate with underwriting teams and external customers. Research and resolve issues related to producer appointments and licensing. Prepare regulatory notices. Review loss run requests. Prepare insurance documents and validate Auto ID Cards. Earn & Learn The program combines coursework with work rotations. Apprentices who complete the program will: Receive a paid, benefit‑eligible full‑time position at Zurich. Earning a tuition‑free Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Insurance. Receive a Department of Labor Certificate of Apprenticeship. Possess credentials and skills demanded by today’s marketplace. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Student enrollment validated as college‑ready by Harper Community College Admissions. Preferred Qualifications One or more years of work or leadership experience in student activities or significant volunteer service. Interest in a career in the insurance industry. Ability to balance multiple priorities between work and school deadlines. Strong customer service, collaboration, problem‑solving, and communication skills. High degree of self‑discipline and attention to detail. Intermediate computer skills, especially Excel. Proficiency in navigating learning and interactions in online environments. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $21.16. Short‑term incentive bonus eligibility: 5%. Location & Schedule Schaumburg, IL; Full‑time; Hybrid (remote working available).
