Job Summary: The Assistant Spa Manager plays a key role in ensuring the seamless daily operation of the spa. This position will oversee front desk operations, provide exceptional customer service and assist the Spa Director and Spa Manager in managing staff, ensuring high-quality service standards and achieving business goals. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive and passionate about creating a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist clients with reservations, check-ins and inquiries at the spa desk.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Promote and sell spa services, packages and retail products.

Operational Support:

  • Oversee front desk operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming spa reception area.
  • Monitor spa inventory and coordinate with the Spa Manager to replenish supplies as needed.

Team Leadership:

  • Assist in training, supervising and motivating spa staff.
  • Support staff scheduling and ensure proper coverage for all shifts.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Support the cleanliness, safety and overall ambiance of the spa- inclusive of locker rooms, relaxation areas, fitness center and pools.
  • Support the management of spa attendants, front end coordinators and therapists.
  • Act as a liaison with other resort departments including housekeeping, engineering, front desk and restaurants to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support the management of guest food and drink orders and transactions.
  • Support the management of and sale of spa memberships.

Administrative Duties:

  • Process bookings, payments and maintain accurate records using spa management software.
  • Assist the Spa Director and Spa Manager in preparing reports and tracking sales.
  • Participate in developing and implementing spa marketing initiatives.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure adherence to all spa policies, procedures and safety standards.
  • Monitor service quality and consistency, providing feedback for improvement when needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and new offerings to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:   Education, Knowledge, Training, & Work Experience:

  • Spa experience required.
  • Must have strong knowledge of spa treatments and services, including massage, wraps, facials and aromatherapy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Able to work well with guests and other employees to resolve problems in a positive manner.
  • Knowledge of computers, reading financial statements and marketing strategies.
