Ast. Director of Nursing (ADON) OF SUBACUTE UNIT
SHIFT: Full-Time

Sign on Bonus: Up to $10,000

JOB SUMMARY: The ADON of Subacute plans, organizes, develops and directs the overall operations of the Subacute unit in accordance with all state, federal and local guidelines/regulations to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times at the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates nursing services with other resident care services such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Dietary, Social Services and Pharmacy services for subacute patients
Oversees the coordination of all physicians and their associates that provide services for subacute patients
Directing, coordinating, and supervising the activities of all nursing staff engaged on subacute unit
Maintains accurate documentation in the clinical record of the ongoing progress of the resident’s condition and all other related factors involved in the total plan of care
Maintenance of Resident Care Plans and the overall management of resident care on subacute unit
Maintains confidentiality of all resident information

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree from an accredited school of nursing
Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required
Must have a minimum of one year of experience in nursing service administration. Additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred.
Must possess knowledge of state, federal, and local long-term care regulations.
Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
Strong customer service skills and compassion
