ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER

• Supervise and develop the accounts payable team, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date accounts payable system and vendor files, including W-9s.
• Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process: invoice receipt, coding, approval, and payment.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Review and reconcile AP aging reports monthly; resolve vendor discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Manage monthly and year-end close activities related to accounts payable, including accruals.
• Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and responses.
• Develop, implement, and maintain best practices for accounts payable processes.
• Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate payment terms as needed.
• Ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements (e.g., 1099 filings).
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems; Yardi Voyager experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
